We were in our early 60s when we moved to Courtyard Gardens.

We first discovered Courtyard Gardens while looking for somewhere for my parents to downsize. But after seeing it for ourselves, we fell in love with the place and decided to move here too!

It turned out to be a wonderful decision. Our spacious freehold house was exactly what we were looking for and represented fantastic value for money.

We were both still working when we moved here, as were many of the other residents. There was also a lovely mix of people who were semi-retired and fully retired, creating a really diverse and welcoming community. The Residents' Association works closely with the management company, which also gives residents a real say in how the development is run.

Nestled in a beautiful village, with easy access to Gatwick, the coast, London and Sevenoaks, we have absolutely no regrets about our decision to move here.

Twelve years on, Courtyard Gardens still feels like living in an ordinary residential street, where you have your own privacy and independence, but with the added sense of community and belonging that comes from living amongst such lovely people and in such stunning surroundings.

Residents very rarely leave unless they need to move closer to family, so if you are lucky enough to get the opportunity to join us here at Courtyard Gardens, take it!

We certainly feel very lucky to call it home.
